Audience and Engagement, Assistant Editor

The Atlantic is seeking an ambitious digital editor to join our growing audience-and-engagement team. The ideal candidate will have a visual sensibility, be obsessed with social platforms, and have a well-defined theory of how original storytelling ought to differ from one platform to the next. This person should have impeccable editorial judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong sense of The Atlantic’s journalism and history. You should also have a creative and experimental approach to telling and sharing journalistic stories. Instagram fluency is a must, as is proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite.
