Audience Marketing Associate

The Audience Marketing Associate will join the Audience Marketing Team, reporting to the Managing Director of Audience Marketing & Digital Operations. The Marketing Associate is responsible for developing, implementing and managing marketing campaigns to promote and drive audience to editorial and client products. This role also has a major role in developing new strategies to not only track but increase website traffic, as well as grow the audience database. The marketing associate will also work alongside the GEMG events marketing team to develop engaging marketing plans to drive targeted audiences for live and digital events.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop engaging marketing campaigns to increase brand and product awareness and reach editorial database and traffic goals.
  • Build audience-metric reports and act as a resource for questions regarding our distribution and engagement efforts
  • Work with colleagues in editorial, growth, and product to understand and interpret the behavior of GEMG readers across all digital platforms
  • Plans and executes marketing campaigns focused on lead generation and lead nurturing.
  • Complete list research and secure new lists/prospects to develop audience for marketing
  • Employ email best practices for send times, subject lines, list segmentation, format and deliverability. Analyze open rates and click-through rates to shape email distribution strategy. Assist with copywriting and editing for emails.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a track record of initiative, high quality and service standards, and ownership of work.
  • Apply outstanding organizational skills, excellent time management and judgment, and the ability to manage complex operations in a fast-paced environment.
