Director of Revenue Operations

We're looking for a Director of Revenue Operations to join the Quartz team. In this role, you will:

Manage media planning team & process:

  • Oversee the media planning process and provide the sales planning team with the best tools available
  • Manage month-end campaign billing and revenue recognition as the main point-of-contact with finance and accounting
  • Mentor and manage the sales planning and ad operations teams and provide them with continuous feedback and growth opportunities
  • Work alongside director of ad operations to ensure yield maximization of existing inventory
  • Review, create, and approve IOs, addendums and Scope of Work documentation
  • Work with editorial and product teams to communicate sales needs
  • Assist with ad product revenue forecasting and growth targets based on sales needs
  • Equip editorial with inventory needs to meet sponsor commitments
  • Work with product to create a better understanding of RPU across different Quartz products

Create and oversee ad solutions partnerships:

  • Evaluate current & new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and lead onboarding of new ad solutions partners
  • Become an expert in and the point of contact for all questions relating to targeting or the particular ad solution
  • Train sales planners & sales team in how to talk about new partnerships and the opportunities they unlock.
  • Manage the implementation of new ad & data technologies in the ad stack, across direct and programmatic sold inventory. This role needs to work easily with cross-functional leaders in product and ad engineering.
  • Build data structures to help maximize business intelligence and ad targeting capabilities

Work with sales management and finance on revenue delivery forecasts
