International Account Manager

Responsibilities Include:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with client and agency decision makers seeking to engage Global Business Professionals
  • Meet with advertisers and ad agencies throughout the EMEA region to articulate the editorial mission and readership of Quartz
  • Develop and deliver winning programs and proposals that lead to lasting and commercially successful advertising partnerships with a focus on branded content creation and innovative custom advertising
  • Inform our ongoing and developing business strategy through deep knowledge and understanding of the market, categories, advertising business, and trends
  • Serve as a representative of the Quartz brand within the advertising community in London and across the region in a positive, convincing, and enthusiastic manner

Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:

  • Highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to win
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently to meet aggressive performance goals
  • Outstanding professional record of achievement
  • Strong interest in global business, high-quality content and online media
  • Excellent and persuasive communication skills, including an ability to create and deliver convincing arguments verbally and in writing
  • Ability to conceive of, and deliver, sophisticated media programmes
  • Creativity, persistence and tenacity to successfully secure media agent appointments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and strength in building lasting relationships
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Strong analytics and real-time judgment
  • Maturity, poise and “grace under pressure”
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Graduate level education
  • Ability to speak a second language is an advantage
